In a cell division, you need exact copy of the original cell. DNA is the blue print of the cell. You have to produce two identical copies of the original DNA. Because DNA decides every character of the cell.

Why is it importaint for chromosomes to be copied before cell division?

it ensure that the cell can survive before it gets divided

Name the parts of the cell that are copied during cell division?

the parts of the cell which are copied during cell division are chromosomes.

Why it is important for DNA to be copied before cell division?

DNA must be copied before cell division so that one complete copy of each chromosome ends up in each of the two daughter cells. Otherwise only one cell would end up with DNA, making the other cell.. well.. not a cell.

Is DNA copied?

During cell division.

What happens to the structure of DNA in your cells prior to cell division?

g1, the cell grows rapidly and carries out its routine functions S, the DNA is copied g2, preperations are made for the nucleus to divide. Hollow protein fibers called microtubules are rearranged

How DNA copied in the S-Phase of Cellular Division?

DNA is copied in the S-Phase of cellular division through a process known as mitosis. It does so by duplicating each chromosome in anticiaption of cell division.

Why do think chromosomes are copied during cell division?

To make all cells identical.

What is the process in which DNA copies itself prior to cell division?

This process is known as DNA replication. DNA is a double-stranded molecule, and this serves to the cell's advantage. Using an enzyme, the cell splits the DNA strands apart, and new strands are copied onto the two parent strands to form two identical new strands. The process is much more complicated than that, but that's what happens.

Can DNA be copied in mitosis?

DNA is not copied during mitosis . Mitosis is meant for division of cell and DNA is divided in two daughter cells .

What does a chromosome make of itself in cell division?

Chromosomes are copied during S phase, before cell division begins. This is so that each daughter cell receives the right amount of genetic material. In mitosis, the daughter cells receive the same number of chromosomes as in the original cell, in meiosis they receive half of this.
