You are measuring mass in any system for which you have standard masses.
No a balance can not measure volume however it does measure mass. You can find the volume by using the balance to find the mass of what ever you want then if you know the density of the thing then you simply divide the mass by the density.
To find the density of a liquid, you must find its mass and volume. To find the mass, use a triple beam balance, put the liquid into a container, weigh it, subtract the weight of the container, and that is how to get the mass. Then, to find the volume, use a graduated cylinder, put the liquid into the container, and then find the mark where the liquid line lands, and that is your volume. Then, divide your mass by your volume, and there is your density in grams per centimeter cubed (g/cm3).
You must obtain and subtract the mass of the beaker.
For measuring the mass (solids) of a substance you would need to use a balance. Measuring volume (liquids) a volumetric flask is required.
You would obtain the mass of the liquid while it was in the measuring cylinder and then, from the combined mass, you would subtract the mass of the cylinder to obtain the mass of the liquid.
it is the scale to find the mass of a thing even liquid and solid
A mass balance and a measuring jug full of a liquid.
the mass measuring tools are: standard balance senstive balance and there are lot more types
A balance is the best tool for measuring mass.
meter sticks graduated cylinder triple been balance

Type your answer here... why is it necessary to quantify measuring?
A balance is the best tool for measuring mass.
They are two different ways of measuring. A balance measures weight (or technically, mass) while a graduated cylinder measures liquid volume.
A triple beam balance. (TBB)
