Using your feet is inaccurate and will most likely lead you to have flawed data/measurements.
It is not a good idea to use your feet to measure things because everyones feet (in most cases) are different lengths, and it is very un-accurate to measure something with an object that is different from others. Seven feet to a long-footed person could be ten, nine or eight true feet, while a very short-footed person would only be four, maybe lower maybe higher.
