Answer: Racism is a very broad and difficult subject with which to deal.
Some will find offence anywhere. Even when not intended. Negro is just a Spanish word for black though some find this an insult because of historical connotations it has.
Others may not.
Offence can be inadvertent or intentional. By far it is the context in which a way a word is used.

To many, it is not seen as "okay" on either side and is racist on both sides.
Many racists try to prove their points with such cases by saying that since it is viewed as allowable on one side, to not create any double standard, it is allowable for both sides, but truthfully, this is only used to get away with being racist and saying racist things since it is not viewed as allowable, appropriate, or acceptable on either side.
