The tundra offers a variety activities.
In the winter you can trap, hunt, hike with snowshoes, snow mobile, go ice-skating on the lakes, sled, make snow-angels, build igloos, have snow-ball fights.
In the summer you can pick berries and wildflowers (their both abundant on the tundra), go bird watching, go waterfowl hunting, and go fishing.
Since the tundra is on the Northern Hemisphere it doesn't get sunshine which is why it is cold.
