Never claimed by Muslims that it is difficult to follow the five Islam pillars.

It is not difficult to witness that no god except Allah (God in English) and that Muhammad (PBUH) is His prophet and Messenger. This is the first pillar.

It is not difficult to pray for God five times a day, each praying takes few minutes. This allows you to be in continues link with God and motivates you to do good and say good to satisfy God. This is the second Islam pillar. You are licensed if you can't pray while standing up to pray sitting down or even laying down on bed or floor.

It is not difficult to pay zakat (or alms given) if you have enough save money over one year long. This is the 3rd pillar.

It is not difficult to fast the days of the month of Ramadan (the 9th month in Islamic lunar calendar). You are licensed not to fast if this causes to you health problems, or if you are so sick or old to be able to fast. Also pregnant woman or who are feeding babies are allowed not to fast. This is the fourth Islam pillar.

The fifth Islam pillar, pilgrimage or hajj, is compulsory only on those who can afford it financially, securely, and without health problems. So, this is not difficult.

You notice from the above that the five pillars are never difficult to perform any one of the pillars and whenever or wherever there may be licit difficulty to perform any of them there is allowance and license not to perform it. Refer to questions below.

No Muslim claimed that it is hard for him to perform the five pillars. It is a matter of faith. If one is sincerely Muslim he never feels difficulty in maintaining the five pillars.

The first pillar is testimony of God oneness and Muhammad prophecy. Is there difficulty for a Muslim to witness this for only once in life.

The second pillar is praying for five times a day. Each praying takes around 5 minutes. Is there difficulty for a Muslim to get in connection with His Creator through praying for 5 minutes for five times a day.

The third pillar is Zakat (compulsory charity). Is it difficult for a Muslim to pay for the poor 2.5 % of the money saved over one year and exceeding specific minimum limit.

The fourth pillar is fasting Ramadan. Is it difficult for a Muslim to fast the month of Ramadan. For those who find difficulty to fast as those of old age or those who are medically prescribed not fit to fast are exempted from fasting until expire of the reason. Those who are on travel during Ramadan are allowed not to fast during the traveling days and to compensate for these days after Ramadan.

The fifth pillar is performing pilgrimage (Hajj). This is only once over life and only for those who can afford it financially, physically, and without safety/security risks.

It is evident from the above that no difficulty of maintaining the five Islam pillars.

I wonder on what the question talking about. I don't find any difficulties in following the Islam five pillars. The five pillars of Islam could be practiced every where irrelevant to any culture or country conditions and irrelevant to whether the country majority people are Muslims or non Muslims.

Let review the five Islam pillar one by one to see where you find difficulty, if any, in following each pillar.

The first pillar is testimony. Do you think there could be any difficulty in witnessing that no god except one God the one and only one and that Prophet Muhammad is His prophet and messenger?

The second pillar is praying. Praying is for 5 times a day. Each praying takes few minutes. You can pray in any dry clean place at home, office, hall, garden, open air,... or the like. The praying time is flexible for each praying. You can pray single or in any available gathering. Do you think there could be any any difficulty in performing the praying?

The third pillar is alms giving or paying Zakat to the poor and needy people when your money saving exceeds certain minimum during one Islamic Hijra year period. Do you think there is any difficulty in fulfilling this pillar?

The fourth pillar is fasting. If you have problems in fasting due to, for example, being on travel, being sick, pregnancy (if valid), feeding a baby (if valid), or any religion wise acceptable excuse you are exempted from fasting during Ramadan and you may compensate for these days later after of Ramadan when the cause is no longer valid. Do you think you have any difficulty in fasting the month of Ramadan?

The fifth pillar is performing Hajj (pilgrimage) if you can afford it from the health, safety, and expenses aspects. Do you think there could be any difficulty in performing it?

You find from the above that nothing forbids the true Muslim from following and practicing the Islam 5 pillars wherever he/she living.

Fasting in Islam, going without food or water from sunrise to sunset, is supposed to be difficult. It humbles, gratifies, and disciplines.

What causes jihads?

Answer: According to Islam it is the unbelief of the infidels that necessitates jihads. These are also conducted according to the dictates of the Koran. Those outside of Islam see that jihads are caused by the intolerance of Islam and its violent attitude to those outside its system. This also includes violent attitudes against fellow Muslims who want to live peacefully and do not wish to follow the command to 'slay the infidels wherever you shall find them.'

How does a pilgrimage on hajj change a Muslims life?

Going to the Hajj changes a Muslim greatly. By going there, Muslims have fulfilled the toughest (as some would consider it) and last pillar of Islam among the Five Pillars of Islam. Such acts bring peace of mind and soul for each Muslim and allows them to worship Allah The Almighty (The Lord, The Exalted, The Most Merciful etc.) with a higher degree of respect. Overall, going to the Hajj changes a Muslim for the better forever. Its helps you to lead your life in the way that Allah Subhanathala wants you to. In bold words, you are submitting yourself to Allah and sacrificing yourself for him in order to be a good Muslim. It makes a person forget the bad ways of life and believe that lying in the path of Prophet Mohammed (PBUH) forgives all your mistakes. Hopeully if that person is dedicated to Islam, a Muslim becomes more well mannered and Allah will support him every step of the way to make him a good Muslim. May this knowledge serve you well and GOD BLESS YOU. I hope this has answered you question.
