Why is it so important to clean the rubbish from the Mount Everest?

Litter has always been a problem on Mount Everest. Once the climber has reached the summit he/she is very tired and just wants to get back to base camp as soon as possible. This usually means leaving items on the mountain to make a faster descent.
Today this has all changed. There are dedicated teams that collect litter from the mountain and bring it back down to base camp.

∙ 11y agoMount Everest is one of the natural wonders of the world. People from all over the world go to view the highest mountain on earth every year, the last thing they want to see is it covered in rubbish. It is alsoa danger to climbers who climb the mountain too.
