Because every religion is just superstition.
Almost every person alive has some connection with one superstition or another. Most of them when asked won't admit it or even know that many of the things they do would be considered superstition. I know a woman who is certain that superstition is all "foolishness for the uninformed" and she would "never indulge in such silliness", and yet, if she spills salt she tosses a pinch over her shoulder, reads her horoscope everyday, and always has her children "make a wish" on their birthday candles. Superstition is mostly a harmless part of the fabric of our cultures. If I had to make a guess, I'd say 99.999% of human kind practices some form of superstition at least once a year
Of course not! That is just a silly superstition.
