Why is it that whenever I shoot the m39 emr in battlefield 3 my shots never hit an enemy?

There are multiple things that could be wrong.
1. Lag that always causes you to miss.
2.Jerkiness (you might need to turn down the graphics to fix jerking)
3.You might be hitting them but it takes 2-3 shots with the m39 to kill them (in hardcore)
4.Glitching bad guys? Probably not, but its always a possibility.
