Hydrogen is an explosive gas in contact with oxygen and at high temperature.
This is unsafe because the small scale experiments done by classes are only producing a small explosion (the POP noise), whereas an increased amount of concentrated hydrogen can cause a larger scale explosion, which might be very unsafe. Happy learning! :)
