There are two things at work, here:
The first has to do with way the light that is reflected. The spherical bubbles reflect all colors, the achromatic sum of which is white. This is the same as a cloud on a sunny day, where water particles work the same way as the bubbles and give the cloud a white appearance.
The second has to do with the density of the particulate in the water; keep in mind that, other than the particulate floating in the water, the water itelf is clear. Once it is broken down to a foam, the colored particles are diffused. This is the same as grinding up a colored substance; if you grind it fine enough relative to the particles which color it, it will turn white.

Yes. Soap suds and lather are the same.
hard water
soft water:1. makes lather with soap faster.2. use a lot of water.hard water:1. makes lather with soap in very less amount.2. soap is wasted.3. chlorides, sulphates and bicarbonates of Ca and Mg are responsible.
Water is a universal solvent and is of two types soft and hard water. Water that produces more lather when soap is added is Soft Water.

Lather
A lather
Yes. Soap suds and lather are the same.
Lather
It is only an illusion.
Put soap in your hands, rub it around and then you will create lather.
Hard water does not produce lather. So soap does not work effectively with hard water as soap does not form a good lather with hard water.
