Strabo, Geography 8. 3. 14 :
"Near Pylos, towards the east, is a mountain named after Minthe, who, according to myth, became the concubine of Haides, was trampled under foot by Kore [Persephone], and was transformed into garden-mint, the plant which some call Hedyosmos. Furthermore, near the mountain is a precinct sacred to Haides."
Both the pomograntet and the asphodel have been associated with Persephone as her symbols.

Here most common symbol is the Pomegranate.
A explanation of the changing seasons.
Before Persephone became the wife of Hades, he had a lover called Mintha and either Demeter or Persephone turned her into the herb, mint.
Persephone used a silver bow and arrow and often in her mothers steps(Demeter) used a staff
He is married to Persephone but he dated Minthe and another lady. Persephone was jealous so she turned Minthe into mint and the other lady into a poplar tree.
Hades only had one wife Persephone but he had two affairs with nymphs when Persephone learned of this she turned one nymph into a mint plant and the other into a popular tree.
The pomegranate. Young wheat. Torch. Together with Hades, rooster, bowl and mint as well.
Persephone is often robed, holding sheafs of grain and a flaming torch. A flower that shows her as Queen of the Underworld is asphodel. Being a Queen, she had no need of a weapon.
A mint mark is a letter or other symbol to indicate where a coin was minted.
Nobody really knows. Hades was never married. But taking Persephone as his wife and queen of the underworld was by force. It was never Persephone's choice. According to Ovid and the geographer Strabo, Hades took the nymph Menthe or Minthe as his mistress. Persephone jealously trampled the unfortunate girl, transforming her into a plant, known as mint.
