It burns orange becuase that is the color cotton burns (by the way money is made from cotton which is why its harder to rip than paper) you most likely thought it would burn green (if your talking about US Dollars) since its the color green (its green becuase the ink thats used has chromium in it which helps with anti-conterfeits)
Well like with any flame, the lighter the flame, the higher the temperature of the flame. If the flam is burning Yellow, it is at a higher temperature and is burning more oxygen than an orange flame is. That is your difference other than the color.
The color of the flame is based on how efficiently the flame is burning.......the blue is burning very efficiently as per the yellow it is burning slightly less efficiently
It depends on what fuel is burning.
orange
It is an eternalnally burning flame because it purifies our civilization.
A Safety Flame Is The Yellowy Orange Flame. It Is Called A Safety Flame Because You Can See It Unlike The Blue Flame
Depending on temperature and what is burning, the flame could be blue, red, orange, white. the common colors.
Flame color is determined by the temperature at which the fuel is burning. They can therefore be many different colors. Nickel for example burns green. Even in the flame you see when burning a log, there is blue (and the obvious red yellow orange)
the orange flame (when the oxygen wholes are closed it makes an orange flame) because when it is on the blue flame (when the oxygen wholes are open) it is very hard to see and almost invisible
Etanol is burning with a faint blue-ish flame color
