It means your guinea pig is dirty. Give it a bath with special guinea pig shampoo. It gets rid of dandruff and it cleans all the dirt off too. Don't give your guinea pig a bath too much otherwise its skin will go all flakey and yucky. Give it a bath every 2 - 3 weeks depending on how dirty it is. If your guinea pig gets dirty a lot, clean its cage.
I have gerbils and when they are babies and they start to grow up, their fur changes color. Also, our older ones are starting to get grey patches of fur. Your hamster's fur is changing color because it is getting older.
When hamsters are dying, they lose their original color.
IS it in the sun because some times that can cause if that's not the case it could just be from old age.

Not all Teddy Bear Hamsters have red eyes. Most have black eyes, grow to be about five inches long, and will bite if not cared for gently. Teddy Bear Hamsters have a light brown or gold coat, and prefer to live alone.
Hamsters do not "shed". Sometimes, adult male long hair syrian (teddy bear) hamsters will lose sections of their "skirt" (the long hair tufts by their tail), but hamster do no shed annually.
No, they're color blind. yes, hamsters are color blind and see black in white. make sure you don't put them in sunlight because then they r practically blind and cant see that good. Yep afraid they are! Hamsters can only see in black and white but still cant see very well. They use their whiskers to feel around as they are on the move. They are color blind! :p
most rodants and other animals are color blind. Hamsters can only see about 6 inches in front of themselves. My hamster shows some intrest in blue, yellow, and purple.

Yes, hamsters are effected by the color around them. Though, their fur color does not effect them at all. The colors around them may change their mood or reaction.
