Well, if it's a male grasshopper, that means that it is ready to mate. If it's a female, and you also have a male, chances are she's pregnant. If you don't know if it's a male or a female... you're pretty much out of luck unless you a) take it to the vet or b) you get another to see if it does the same or c) find another site like animalplanet.com or something like that.( or you could set it free, because it probably misses its ''real'' home. It may be hard but I'm sure you can do it and get another one!)
