Now to train your budgie not to bite it's pretty simple, put your gloves on so if he/she bites you it wont hurt. Now hold your budgie with one hand if it bites you flick it's beak (It really works) but not to hard. Then keep on doing it for 5 min. Keep on doing it every day for 5 min or more. Then if it doesn't bites anymore leave he/she alone for 2 days.
I think they might just be regurgitating with each other. That is called love or great friendship. :)
I HAVE AN OLDER FEMALE AND A YOUNGER FEMALE THE OLDER ONE IS VERY MEAN TO THE YOUNG ONE THEY DO THE BEAK KISSING THEN MY OLDER ONE BITES HARD SHE IS VERY MEAN I SEPARATED THEM AND THEY ACT TOO SAD BUT THE YOUNGER ONE EVEN HAD A SORE ON HER HEAD I HAVE A BIG FLIGHT CAGE PLENTY OF ROOM FOR THE TWO OF THEM I THINK THE OLD ONE IS JUST SET IN HER WAYS. IM CONFUSED.
Parakeets only really start biting when the feel threatened. So try to make the parakeet feel calm.
Out of fear and a sense of protection. Approach your bird calmly and speak softly. Don't grab her or hold her too tightly and she should warm up to you eventually.
its showing them they love each other watch them they will eat each other though
He could be trying to let you know that he has no food or water ,Don't be fooled with the food ,alot of time it looks full but its just the hauls.
that's to atract girls, if you have a girl that doing that GET RID OF IT!
If he/she is biting you, this usually means they feel threatened, I'm guessing they make a squawking sound also with it?
The upside of having a parakeet is you have a bird with colorful feathers. The downside is incessant squawking and screeching, biting, and parakeet food scattered all over the floor.
It steps up willingly and trusts you. You can have it on your hand without it biting and pet the bird calmly

That parakeet is just resting. A parakeet has flown into the dining room.
A full grown parakeet is usually no more than six inches tall. Make sure not to confuse a parakeet wit a budgerigar (budgie for short), which looks very similar to a parakeet, but is not the same exact thing as a parakeet and are taller than the average parakeet.
