You rat probably has an upper respitory infection. It probably isn't as active as normal either. Try giving it milk through an eye dropper. If this doesn't work take you rat to the vet immediatly; but if it does, try drench some bread in milk and feeding to him.
i would say change what they eat. like get another brand of food. if that doesn't work take it to the vet and see what they say. maybe it something they ate...
You can get a pet rat from most pet stores.
I don't have a pet rat!
Emily Carr had one pet rat.
You could simply put your cage/box for him/her on the ground with a piece of cheese inside (yes, very cliche...) and close it once said rat is inside eating said cheese.
a pet rat can have many health problems my rat actually died from upper respiratory infection
African Pouched Rat.
I think it is not the best idea to have it as a pet, but if you were a really crazy person who would have a snake as a pet you would keep that rat thingy. but anyway a mole rat, my answer would be NO!
Stolzmann's Crab-eating Rat was created in 1893.
Abraham Lincoln had a lot of pets, and some were unusual pets but he did not have a pet rat.
You can leave your pet rat alone for 2 days but it is not advisable; attention is key.
no, it does not kill the rat from eating
It is likely that it is sick or it really doesn't like the food (that happened to one of my rats!). I would, however, take the rat to the vet or look up symptoms of respiratory disease (it is one of the most common diseases in rats). If the rat seems fine other than the lack of eating the rat food try giving it lettuce, tomatoes, ect to get it to eat but remember to never feed it citrus fruit.
