when an anaesthetic is injected into the sub-aracnoid sapce the patient can have a copmlete block that can lead to death, whilst into the epidural space painrelief will be effective.,
Noradrenalin doesn't exponentially decay, therefore the term "half-life" is meaningless.
Lidocaine hydrochloride is primarily an anaesthetic than can be applied topically, or injected into a wound or surgical site. It is also used to treat immediate ventricular arrythmias.
When a chemical such as noradrenalin is secreted outside of a cell, it is called exocytosis.

Injecting no-adrenaline (noepinephrine) with an anaesthetic could help keep you awake while on it. I was told by a dentist epinephrine is mixed with anesthetic to increase the length of time the anestetic is effective. Without it, the numbing effect would wear off much more quickly. Although the above answer may be correct in that epinephrine increases wakefullness, it is not the reason it's mixed with some anastetics. Further, I don't know why one would want to remain more awake during a dental procedure, and I'm assuming the question was asked becuase some do not like the feeling (or perceive to at least) of epinephrine. The Dr explained to me, the reason why this works is noradrenalin or epinerphrine restricts blood vesels slowing blood flow from the area, which in turn slows down the process of the anestetic getting flushed out of the area and ultimately cleared by the body in whatever way it does so.
