What two processes sustain ecosystems and the biosphere and how are they linked?

The two processes that sustain ecosystems and the biosphere are one-way energy flow and nutrient cycling. These two processes are linked through the natural services that are components of the earth's natural capital.

What are microorganisms and why are they important?

Microorganisms and microscopic organisms. They are important to biodiversity because they act as decomposers in ecosystems that nutrient recycle and they also play an important role in the nitrogen cycle.

What is the importance of cycling materials through ecosystems?

In ecosystems some factors like nitrogen are considered as a limiting factor. So ecologists started analyzing cycling materials in the ecosystem..

nutrient cycling

Why is it important to balance the ecosystems in parks?

Balancing ecosystems in parks is important as it helps maintain biodiversity and the overall health of the ecosystem. When one species becomes too dominant or extinct, it can disrupt the delicate balance and negatively impact other species. By ensuring a balanced ecosystem, parks can support a wide variety of plants and animals, promote natural processes like pollination and nutrient cycling, and protect against the spread of invasive species.

How does eubacteria and fungi are important in cycling of nutrient?

They are bio decomposers.Secrete extra cellular enzymes and breake macro organic molecules into inorganic molecules.

What is the most important role of fungi in the ecosystem?

Fungi are the principal decomposers on Earth.

Microorganisms such as phytoplankton, zooplankton, and bacteria are commonly found in the sea. These tiny organisms play crucial roles in marine ecosystems by contributing to nutrient cycling, food webs, and overall ecosystem health.

Is a microorganism a decomposer?

Microorganisms are critical to nutrient recycling in ecosystems as they act as decomposers.
