O is the symbol for kiss, when you kiss your lips kind of make an "o" shape but just kinda. X is for hugs, when you hug your arms kind of make a "x" shape.
x is hugs and o is kisses. it goes in order like when you say "hugs and kisses". i mean no one really says "kisses and hugs". :p Not saying that is wrong but that's actually the less used interpretation. It goes OXOXOX. "O" for hugs and "X" for kisses.
That is hard to answer without knowing the context in which you saw it. At the end of a letter or sometimes in text messaging, x means kiss and o means hug.
The only shorthand symbol I can think of for 'of' is o/.
Hours/minutes/seconds = hrs/min/sec Degrees/minutes/seconds = o/"/' Actually, this should be o/'/"
You can use w/o. In medical shorthand without is a s with a line over it and with is a c with a line over it

Muaxx is a combination of a word and an acroymn. Mauh - The sound made by giving one a kiss xx - Similiar to xo and/or xoxo. This acronymn is usually used at the end of a sentence, or before signing out. XOXO means hugs and kisses. X being kiss O being hug. The use of X was used not long ago in place of signature. It is said they would kiss the X much like they would kiss their bible. This is where the X is believed to come from. As for the O, the circular shape is shown as two people would hug. Alot of interesting history behind it.
"Xoxo" is a term often used at the end of a message to signify hugs and kisses, typically in a friendly or affectionate way. It can indicate warmth, care, or simply be a casual sign-off.
