Some information needs to be modified; such information is useless if it's in a memory where it can't be modified.
ROM (read only memory)
read only memory - information stored on R.O.M is permanent and cannot be deleted, but can only be accessed or read. random access memory-is volatile[rebooted, started up again] all the information that is held in R.A.M will be lost.
non volatile memory is the computer memory that can retain stored information when not powered . examples flash memory . read only memory.(F) ram.volatile memory is the computer memory that requires power to maintain stored information in other words it need power to reach the computer memory volatile memory retain the information as long as the power supply is on .
ROM - the read-only memory
read-only memory
Volatile memory is computer memory that requires power to maintain the stored information. Non-volatile random-access memory that retains its information when power is turned off. There is random access memory, cache memory, read only memory, virtual memory and flash memory.
Permanant information is stored in hard drives, usb drives, cds, dvds and the temporary information is stored in RAM (Random Access Memory).
ROM - Read-Only Memory.
circut board - the read-only memory (ROM)
ROM, which is short for Read Only Memory, is a type of memory that cannot have information written to it.
ram stands for random access memory while rom is read only memoryRAM is Random Access Memory that is used to store data that is from using desktop applications or web browser based functions. ROM is Read Only Memory, ROM is used for only one thing and that is to read the memory that is integrated within the CD that you put in the computer. You can remember what ROM does by just remembering Read Only Memory, because all it does is what the name implies, which is to read data.
In the computing world, permanent data is stored in ROM (Read Only Memory).
