It isn't more critical, the heart muscle itself is simply one of the most important and necessary muscles which we need to survive. Any muscle when deprived of oxygen will begin to die off, in the case of a thigh muscle however it's more likely to just necessitate amputation (to prevent gangrene from rotting tissue) or it would just result in the muscle not working anymore. The only real distinction that if the heart muscle just "doesn't work anymore" you're dead, you can survive without a bicep or tricep, not without a heart.
Oxygen is vital to all muscles. Without oxygen cells die. When oxygen is not received to a skeletal muscle, the muscle wil begin to die out and you will feel tightness, cramps and a lot of pain in the effected region. When heart muscle is deprived of oxygen that is what is known as a heart atack. Blood (oxygen) is blocked from the heart and the muscle of the heart (myocardium) begins to die off. If too much of the myocardium dies the heart will not work properly. The heart will begin to go into Ventricalarfibrulation (V-Fib).

What must the heart do when muscle cells are oxygen deprived?

continue aerobic metabolism when skeletal muscle cannotcontinue aerobic metabolism when the skeletal muscle cannot

When muscle cells are oxygen deprived the heart still pumps, what must the heart cells be able to do?

It must be able to continue aerobic metabolism when skeletal muscle cannot

Is skeletal muscle found in the heart?

no. skeletal muscle is found in large groups of muscles like the arms and legs. your heart is a cardiovascular muscle

Is the heart an example of the skeletal muscle?

no

Why is oxygen so critical to heart muscle?

Oxygen plays many roles in the metabolic pathways that support contracture of the heart's cardiac muscle tissue. The heart muscle is the only muscle in the body which is always working. It cannot stop and rest, because the body requires a constant circulation of blood, to supply the tissues of the body with oxygen and nutrients. The brain can only survive for 3 minutes without oxygen. So since the heart must constantly work, it requires a constant supply of oxygenated blood. Without it, the heart would not have the energy it requires to do its work, and would stop.

What are the 3 subtypes of muscle tissue?

Striated, smooth, and skelital cardiac, skeletal, and smooth

What part of body has involuntary muscles?

There are cardiac, smooth, and skeletal. Both cardiac and smooth are involuntary. Skeletal is voluntary. Skeletal muscles are the muscles you use to move your bones. You do these things voluntarily, like raising your arm. Skeletal muscle tires out quickly. Cardiac muscle is only found in your heart. This muscle type keeps your heart running and does not tire.

Skeletal muscle is found in muscles that?

Skeletal muscle is found in all muscles (mainly in charge of movement) other than the heart (cardiac muscle) and the organs (smooth muscle)

What structure is found in cardiac muscle tissue but not skeletal muscle tissue?

Heart and Stomach

Is there is a small amount of smooth muscle in the heart?

No. and cardiac muscle is technically different from skeletal muscle, too.

What is a skeletal muscle and is it voluntary or involuntary?

The skeletal muscle covers and clings to the body skeleton. It is responsible for body movement and is voluntary because it is under our conscious control unlike the cardiac muscle which is responsible for the heart beat

What muscle tissue is the tissue of the heart?

Cardiac muscle is found in the heart. The other two types of muscle are smooth and striated (skeletal) muscle.Cardiac muscle, the third kind of muscle (the other two being skeletal and smooth muscle.
