Photosynthesis is important to life because plants are the start of the food chain. Plants photosynthesise in order to grow, If they couldn't photosynthseise they would not exist. If plants didn't exist then herbivores would have nothing to eat and would die out. If herbivores didn't exist then carnivores such as humans would have nothing to eat and life would cease to exist. So photosynthesis is essential to life!
