The reason is if you click on the characters it will tell you it had risen from the ocean. Now, a glitch is pulling it down! This glitch affects Poptropica itself. Poptropica news on the creator's blog will tell you sadly, Poptropolis will indeed sink under water. This can result in 3 things: Long-lasting maintenance, complete island shut-down, or the island being under water and you can still play. This tragic turn of events is very serious. Hopefully no other islands will go through an event such as this. I hope that answers your question. If it doesn't, you can log into Poptropica and check the creator's blog. ;)
The shortest actual walkthrough is for Shark Tooth island, which can be completed faster than any other island. There is practically no walkthrough for Poptropolis Games, since it consists of 9 sporting events rather than a procedure to follow.
The island was playable from June 2012 to January 2013. The shaking was a sign that the island was sinking back into the sea, which it did on January 24, 2013. Since that time, there has been no announcement about when it would return.
Since Poptropica is a website, there is no need to install it.
All of the islands made since mid-2012 have Bonus Quests for paid monthly members. The first was SOS Island (March 2012), followed by Vampire's Curse Island Twisted Thicket Poptropolis Games (returns in fall 2013) Wimpy Boardwalk Lunar Colony Super Villain Island Charlie and the Chocolate factory Zomberry Island Night Watch Island Back lot Island Virus Hunter Island
since 2007
Well since the last island was Virus Hunter island, the next one will be Poptropilis Games 2013.
Theoretically, yes. They would have to give you their username and password. But since the point of Poptropica is to play the games, why would you want a finished account? The only way to go back through most games would be to restart them, and you would not get credits the second time.
Probably not, especially since Poptropica is apparently a separate planet (Astro Knights island).
Yes, since 2010.
No, since it is free and you dont have to pay unless you want the membership.
this is not an answer but since when was there a spikes gamezone on poptropica?
There is none, and in fact there are NO cheats or shortcuts whatsoever on Poptropica. Since the game plays on the Poptropica website, there is no way to gain any advantage by programming changes. (see the related question)
