Potassium in the form of pure metal is not used for anything much. Its main drawback is that as soon as it comes into contact with water it reacts and produces hydrogen. It gets so hot doing this that the hydrogen catches fire, and may even explode. It's really not suitable as an engineering material.

No, cables can't be drawn out of graphite. As wires can be drawn out of ductile substances like metals As graphite is highty brittle in nature. and non- ductile substance can't be drawn into the cables.

thanks you have nice day

Why is silver not used for making wires?

Even though silver is the best conductor of electricity, it is extremely expensive. Thus silver is not used to make electical wires. Silver is also very soft to be used as electric wires.

Why can't sodium be used in electric wires?

It can be used in electrical wires. Actually, in the future a lot of electrical wire may be made mostly of sodium. Google "lightweight composite electrical wire".

What are 3 things sodium is used for?

Fertilizers, wires and sometimes lighting.

List three examples of how insulators are used?

rubber or plasic is used as an electical insulator to cover wires to prevent against elecric shock. Gloves are used over hands as a thermal insulator to prevent burns while holding hot objects. insulated footwear are used when working in an enviorment dealing with many exposed live wires.

Why doesn't turn light and hazards light won't work?

Blown fuse, loose or frayed wires, other electical problem...

What are some things that use sodium?

Sodium, first of all, is a coating for fertilizers, wires, and sometimes used in lighting. It also shines with a glow of yellow light, for lighting. Sodium is a soft, electr. conductor. =]]]]--------------->

Can electical impulses from your barin travel through electrical wiring?

Yes, indeed. For years, doctors have used the electroencephalogram (EEG) to study patients' brain 'waves'. Wires conduct the faint impulses from the brain to the EEG machine.

Why copper is used in electricity?

Copper is used in electical equipment and wire as it is a good and cheap conductor

When was Majectical Electical created?

Majectical Electical was created in 2008-08.

Why would your 2000 Kia Sportage still act like its not getting gas when pushing the gas and idoling ruff after changing plugs wires coil packs and fuel pump and filter?

sounds like you have crossed up your wires or look and see if you plugged the electical wires back into the front and back boot.

Why is copper used to make electical wiring but is not usually used to make overhead power lines?

Weight and cost factor.
