Rama is not a God. He was Purshottam meaning the best ideal man ever, perfect and ideal in every state, form and situation.
And when a man, who has been created by God as His own image, has ideal godly and saintly character, he appears and is taken as God. Rama was such a man.
Because he's the prince, and everybody on the kingdom loves him
because they came down as gods in human form and they were true to each other when it mattered so they deserved to be king and queen.
It means light that's why we celebrate Diwali but it was danger to Rama and Sita as evil people would want to take their Kingdom.
