Celtic FC were setup by a catholic preist exclusivly for the catholic community living in the east end of Glasgow. Rangers originally only had Protestant players playing for the club and have links to Ulster (Northern Ireland). As a result became a microcosm of what was happening during "the troubles" in northern ireland. I does't help when many supporters of these teams are very narrow minded.
