Why is tantalum nonrenewable?

All the tantalum that exists on earth was created in supernova explosions more than about 6 billion years ago, there will be no more as even if a supernova exploded now because the sun's solar wind would prevent any tantalum from it from entering the solar system and reaching earth.

The above is not only true for tantalum, it is true for all elements beyond iron and nickel (such elements can only be produced in supernova explosions).
