Zoo officials say Babirusas are endangered due to shrinking habitat and over-hunting.
While all three sub-species' population trends ARE decreasing, only the Togian Islands Babirusa is currently listed by the IUCN as 'Endangered', while the other two are currently listed as 'Vulnerable': March 25th, 2011.
