That means you have a small kinda short in your lights. Mine did the same thing. Its the adapter that plugs into your lights. You can buy a new one for like 9 bucks at autozone.
I'm guessing that you want to be able to turn off the daytime running lights on your car. As far as I know, there is no such switch on the Sunfire. The daytime running lights are on whenever the car is running and is in gear.
If it's just a round flashing light that has no indication as to it's meaning, it's probably the Daytime Running Light indicator. It's only on when the headlights are OFF. If it's flashing, it generally means that one of your DRL's has burned out.
I'm not quite sure I understand your question. If the daytime running light indicator on the dash is flashing, it generally means that a headlight lamp has burned out. Maybe you can give us a little more information about what's happening.
yes thay do have DTR on a 1995 sunfire
fuse box on the inside of the car, driver side
Seperate circuits I believe.
u have a blown headlight. change both bulobs and it will stop.
same problemit maybe broken and cracked wires which is located in the headlamp wire harness. the harness may need to be replaced. Pink wire in the harness where it passes between the frame and windshield washer bottle is corroded.....easy fix.
from what I've found the only way to shut off your daytime running lights is to put on the e-brake, or take out the fuse, which isn't the best idea. the daytime running lights will also usually not work if there is a blown hi-beam light
There are many reasons as to why a Sunfire may be running hot. Most likely the car is running low on coolant, or other fluids.
You can,t switch between high and low beam in DRL mode. Only when you turn on the headlights with the HL switch.
I am presently having the same problem on my '97 sunfire. According to the wiring diagram, the daytime running lights are actually just the highbeams running in series. For whatever reason, I don't have a driver side high beam either. I assumed it was the relay, but I might be mistaken. Where is the darn relay located anyway? the relay is in the fuse box inside the car on the drivers side door panel
