Triceratops has been extinct for 65.5 million years, so it isn't important anymore. When it did exist, Triceratops was one of the most common dinosaurs in its habitat. It played a very important role in its ecosystem. Triceratops helped to prevent the plants it ate from overcrowding. They fertilized the soil with their feces and urea. They also provided food for Tyrannosaurus.
