My answer is based on the ideas of Samuel Hahnemann (1755-1843) as published in his brilliant book "Organon, the art of healing". First you have to know that Hahnemann invented "homeopathy", an art of healing based on using very little quantities of poisoning plants as a medicine. According to Hahnemann there are two types of disease: acute and chronic. The chronic diseases are divided in 3 mainstreams:

- iatrogenic diseases, caused by regular (allopathic) medicine(s);

- chronic miasmatic diseases, caused by a chronic miasm hereditary disease);

- improper chronic diseases, caused by avoidable harmful influences (alcohol, drugs, junk food etc.)

Now I come to what Hahnemann calls health:

one is healthy if the spiritual life force or Dynamis rules over the body, without limitations.

The Dynamis keeps all parts in a harmonic living balance, expressing itself in feeling and acting in such a way that the healthy mind can use this healthy living instrument freely to serve the higher purposes of our existence. Cor van der Meij, homeopath, Arnhem (Holland)

Define health and name the components of health?

Health is the absense of disease and the absence of the perception of disease. Sometimes people "perceive" or believe they have a physical ailment but do not, hence the definition " the absence of the perception of disease". But health can also be defined by what it is (rather than what it is not, see above). Health is the perception of well-being and no apparent illnesses. "Components" of health is a bit broad as a question. Please use the discussion page to add detail about what you mean and what you'd like to know.

Health is more than just the absence of disease or infirmity because it encompasses physical, mental, and social well-being. It involves a state of complete physical, mental, and social wellness, not just the absence of illness. This holistic approach to health recognizes the importance of overall well-being and quality of life.

What's the definition for health by the World Health Organisation?

The World Health Organization's definition of health was formulated and agreed too by member countries of the WHO in 1946. Rather than defining health in the negative, i.e. an absence of disease or infirmity, the WHO defines health positively as the presence of complete physical, mental and social well being.
