When the service light comes on in a Renault Megane, it indicates that the vehicle requires maintenance or has detected a fault that needs attention. The airbag light signifies an issue with the airbag system, which could mean the airbags may not deploy in the event of an accident. It’s important to address both lights promptly by consulting the vehicle's manual and seeking professional assistance to ensure safety and proper vehicle function.
To remove the airbag light on a Renault Megane, first, check for any underlying issues by using an OBD-II scanner to read the trouble codes. Address any detected faults, such as faulty sensors or connections. After resolving the issues, you can reset the airbag light by disconnecting the car battery for a few minutes or using the scanner to clear the codes. If the light persists, it may indicate a more serious issue that requires professional diagnosis.

The airbag light in your Renault Megane Coupe may be triggered by the seat adjustment due to a faulty connection or sensor related to the seat's airbag system. When you adjust the seat, it could be causing a momentary disruption in the connection, which turns the light on. Pushing the seat back may restore the connection, turning the light off again. It's advisable to check the seat wiring and connectors for any damage or looseness, or consult a professional for a thorough inspection.
To reset the check airbag warning on a Renault Megane Scenic, first ensure that the issue triggering the warning is resolved. Then, turn the ignition to the "ON" position without starting the engine. Press and hold the trip reset button on the dashboard until the warning light goes off. If the warning persists, it may indicate a more serious issue that requires professional diagnosis.

I believe that the airbag light staying on, is an indication that there is a problem in the airbag system. I'd get it to a mechanic to have it looked at if I were you.FriPilot
