Because the pigments have higher possibility to survive because of their color of skin/fur they could have an easier camouflage and the albinos cant survive that easy.

It is controlled by a recessive allele.

What is an example of allele frequency?

The frequency for the mutant cystic fibrosis allele among Caucasians is 0.025, while the frequency of the normal allele is 0.975.

The number of times an allele occurs in a gene pool?

Think frequent. More of the allele in the populations gene pool and there is a change in the alleles frequency. Some goes for less of the allele.

How can albinism in plants keep occurring if they cannot reproduce?

because the recessive allele is still present in heterozygous individuals. these individuals have one dominant allele and so show the dominant phenotype but they are capable of producing offspring with the recessive condition

Could you define Minor and major allele frequency?

A minor allele is the allele that has the least frequency among all the alleles in a given population and this has to be greater than 5%.

Can the genotype in a population change with the allele frequency changing?

Yes, the ratios of genotypes for a specific trait can change if allele frequency changes.
