All scripture is inspired of God. He may use whatever means he may to inspire men to do good and to testify of His divinity. He used his son Jesus the Christ, the apostles and prophets. He will even let Satan use the power he has been given to warn man of the impending danger of using evil as a means of doing so called good.

He testifies of His divinity by using the simple things in life, things that people will understand and apply in their lives. All scripture is of God is so far as Gods word has been translated correctly.

The Bible wasn't inspired. God told many people to write different books in the Bible. God told many prophets and apostles what to write mostly.

AnswerOf course the Bible was inspired.

The Bible was written by a huge range of people - from fishermen to shepherds, from Pharisees to kings. The various books of the Bible weren't 'dictated' by God in the same way as this answer isn't dictated by God. They wrote the books with their own slants, emphases and so on. As an example Matthew' gospel was written to the Jews to show that Jesus was the promised Messiah. John's gospel was written in order that we all might believe that Jesus is divine. This is why, as an example, smalll inconsistencies arise between the gospel accounts. If they were 'dictated' by God, they would all be exactly the same. But they're not. Slight inconsistencies fuel the belief that they are written independently, and by humans.

However, that does not mean that they are not inspired by God. 'Inspire' means 'to breathe in', or 'to let the spirit in' and in every page of the Bible the beliefs of the writers shines through. The writers of the Bible were inspired in the sense that the Holy Spirit guided their efforts.

The composer Edward Elgar wrote his famous work 'The Deram of Gerontius' - a religious choral work. He wrote it, but at the top of the page he wrote 'A M D G' - 'ad majorem dei gratia' - 'to the greater glory of God'. This work was inspire by God, for in the music one can feel the glory of God shining through.

I the same way, the Biblical writers allowed the Glory of God to shine through their writings, so that those who read scripture can glimpse this glory, and, in turn be inspired - be filed with the Holy Spirit - as a result.

The Bible is a book that deals with an aspect of life that's "invisible" to the human eye... and otherwise imperceptible to the other four physical human senses, except that God reveals it to the "spirit in us" [Zech.12:1].

The Bible is a compilation of the Divinely revealed Wisdom, Knowledge and Understanding of God through the inspirational power of His Holy Spirit, working in the hearts [the spirits; intellect; minds] of men.

Unless God revealed this Divine "invisible Knowledge" to us -- physically limited man could not otherwise know it... and he would continue throughout all of his generations in ignorance of God's Truth [as the vast majority of mankind has, who have never read the Bible, and/or that don't believe it].

God's Holy Spirit is, among other things, a means of "personal communication" between individuals and Himself. God is calling "some" to understand His Truth at this time... and not the whole world, yet. And the Holy Spirit works on a very personal and "intimate" spiritual level WITHIN the one to whom God is "speaking."

The Holy Spirit is a matter of a very "personal and intimate FAMILY RELATIONSHIP" between the one whom God is calling... and Himself.

And it is the Holy Spirit, that not only inspired the Scriptures to be written by men... but also gives those who read those Scriptures the "ability" to "believe and understand" them -- if God is calling them.

If God's Holy Spirit is not present with the individual reader... the Scriptures are just meaningless words in that person's heart... and the Bible is confusion and so much nonsense.

"...the Word of the Lord was unto them precept upon precept... line upon line, line upon line; here a little, and there a little; that they might go, and fall backward, and be broken, and snared, and taken." (Isa.28:13)

The vast majority of mankind stumbles over the Holy Spirit inspired Words of the Bible... because they don't yet have the Holy Spirit within them to reveal the Truth of them to their spirit.

The Holy Spirit is the key to understanding the Bible. And since God is not yet calling the whole world yet to know His Truth, it takes the Holy Spirit dwelling within a person to open a human mind to the precepts of the Bible.

It takes Spirit to reveal spiritual things.
