Your tailbone is not vestigial! If you study Anatomy you will know that there are 9 different muscles attached to it, and Im not going to tell you what they are all are, but trust me you need them!! Pancrease Muscle is one of them. Try jumping on your tailbone, then see if its needed.

The appendix is not considered to be entirely vestigial. However, its original functions may no longer be needed. It has been found to have an important function in the immune system. But someone who has their appendix removed is not at any particular risk.

Vestigial means that it is a part that was functional in ones ancestors but no longer has a purpose but yet still exists.

The coccyx is the last few bones of the spine that are located in the buttocks below the pelvis. In human ancestors they were part of the tail but they serve no known function now.

Vestigial means (amongst other things) 'of little practical use' thus the coccyx is the useless remainder of the tail a human once had! It likely fell out of use when we came down from the trees and began walking upright.

Vestigial organs are organs that have an unknown use and we can still function normally if they were taken out and the coccyx can be taken out and we will still be able to function normally. Scientists think that the coccyx used to be a tail and as we evolved and stood upright there wasn't any need for a tail so we lost the tail but it helps connect us with our ancestors

Yes it Is. All mammals had a tailbone at one point but over time humans lost a tail and the tailbone no longer serves a purpose.
