The date is displayed in the "Question History" area that shows for some users. It's a good idea to show it for everyone though.
If you are looking to put information from Answers.com | WikiAnswers into a paper and you need to refer to a date, you can usually use the copyright date which is down at the very bottom of the question page. However, this is not always the date of "publication" of that particular answer. For that, you would have to go into the question history, and note when the answer was written, or the edit that contains the information that you want to use in your paper.
"I answered a question on WikiAnswers tonight that concerned the International Dateline."

In a list of sources, the access date for a website is the day that you visited the web site to obtain the information. For example, if you visited WikiAnswers today you would list today's date as the access date.
That itself is never specified on due to the fact that we've never seen them on an actual date but its strongly implied that they were since they were most likely in a relationship (they were im positive but i'd watch episodes like Question Authority as just one example but it looks to be they do date)
Actually, when the question was asked and answered is recorded for each question. If you click on the question history, it shows the day the question was answered and when a certain contributor answered the question. It also tells when an alternate was split from the question, when something was merged into it, and much more.
