There are two reasons that the Earth is denser than the sun. First, the sun is made mostly of hydrogen and helium while Earth is made of rock and metal, which are denser materials. Second, the sun is much hotter than Earth.

Earth is the densest planet due to a combination of its mass and its composition. Earth is a terrestrial planet, meaning it is composed primarily of rock and has a core made of metal. The rock and metal composition right away make it denser than the four most massive planets; Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, and Neptune, which are made mostly of hydrogen and helium. The other terrestrial planets, Mercury, Venus, and Mars are closer in density to Earth. If you looked at composition alone it would seem that Mercury should be the the densest planet; it has a larger core in proportion to its size than Earth does and the metal of the core is denser than rock. However, because of its greater mass and stronger gravity, Earth's inner layers are more compressed than those of Mercury, making Earth slightly denser.

It is the largest rocky planet and the heat from formation along with the so-called 'iron catastrophe' which re-melted the entire planet caused crushing compaction of the interior, making it the most dense planet in the solar system.

What is its density of planet earth?

Overall it's about 5500 kg/cubic meter, which is makes it (by a small margin) the densest planet in the Solar system.

What planet is made of mostly atmosphere?

None. By definition a rocky planet is mostly rock. Venus, by far, has the densest atmosphere of the terrestrial planets, but the planet itself is mostly rock and is similar in composition to Earth.
