Tropical rainforest are the richest ecosystem in the world because for millions of years the rain forests lay undisturbed. Small tribes of humans lived there, but they did no damage. So the plants and animals were able to develop and adapt in peace. And that's why the rain forests now have thousands of different kinds of plants and animals.

tropical rain forests are present on the equator because they need excess water and there is much rain in those areas due to the heat over there which vaporises much of the water present in those areas .
