Many of the Blyton catalogue where written at a time when there was far less political correctness in names and phrases used. Whilst these terms at the time were not held as or even considered offensive they are now (sadly) considered so. Many of the books written were between 1921 and 1945 and these would have had "normal" names of the and terms used in everyday speak. To be "compliant" and more importantly to make some of the stories attractive to children of today some of the books are reworded to make them less dated
