Gravity does not exactly have units of force - it can be expressed as Newton / kilogram - each kilogram is attracted by a certain force. But Newton / kilogram is not the same as Newton.

Newton / kilogram has the same units as meters / second square.

Another way to look at this is that gravity gives a certain acceleration to any falling object.

What is mass multiplied by gravity?

Force or weight Force= mass X acceleration gravity is an acceleration (9.8m/s2) Weight = mass X acceleration due to gravity

What force that can change when acceleration due to gravity changes?

I suppose you are asking about what forces change when acceleration due to gravity changes. In this case, the formula for forces concerning acceleration due to gravity is as such: fg=mg. When acceleration due to gravity(g) changes, it affects the force of gravity which is also known as the weight of the object. This is shown as fg.

Does the force of gravity affect the rate of acceleration?

If you are asking the rate of acceleration on a surface, than the larger the force of gravity is, the more it will affect the rate of acceleration. The amount of friction depends one many variables, one of which is gravity. The larger your force of gravity is, the larger the force of friction is. Because of this, the more the force of gravity is, than the slower the rate of acceleration is because of the larger force of friction, which would be acting against the rate of acceleration. Therefore, the force of gravity does affect the rate of acceleration.

What is the theory of the acceleration due to gravity?

During a fee fall, when there is no normal force to resist the force of gravity, the body's acceleration is the same as the force of gravity 9.8m/s-2

What is acceleration due to gravity called?

Acceleration due to gravity means the force due to weight of an object which increases due to the gravitational pull of the earth.

Why does gravity change velocity?

Gravity exerts a force on objects; such a force (if not counteracted by some other force) will cause an acceleration, according to Newton's Second Law. The amount of the acceleration can be calculated as a = F/m.

How are mass weight and acceleration related to gravity?

Gravity is the force that attracts two masses together. Weight on Earth is the force of gravity acting upon an object on Earth. The formula for force is: F=ma -or- Force=mass x acceleration So, multiplying an object's mass by its acceleration due to gravity (9.8m/s2 on Earth) will give you the measurement of the force of gravity acting upon the object, also known as the object's weight.

How does the force of the gravity affect the rate of the acceleration?

Acceleration of a falling object is directly proportional tothe force of gravity in the object's location.

Is gravity a vector measurement?

The acceleration and force of gravity are vectors.

How does upthrust depend on accleration due to gravity?

it depends on acceleration due to gravity as f=mg, when acceleration due to gravity increases the force acting also increases.when force acting increases it cancels the upward thrust(buoyant force)so the body sinks in the liquid.

What is the relationship of acceleration to gravity?

Gravity produces acceleration on an object, assuming that no other force acts on the object.

Acceleration is caused by?

Acceleration is caused by gravity or an outside force on the object.
