On July 14, people gather in big cities or in front of the city hall to watch fireworks. This is a vacation day and so, nobody works. Actually, except for the fireworks, the French Revolution is just a great event which occurred a long time ago. This is no longer important for the French to know what happens. On July 14, only the fireworks and the gatherings matter to us (I'm French so...)
