the inner core has to be really hot so when the hotness reaches the crust it feels normal because if the inner core was a normal temperature that when the hotness gets to the crust it would be freezing!

How is the inner core and outer core different from each other?

The outer core is liquid, the inner core is solid The outer core surrounds the inner core The outer core is iron-rich, the inner core is iron-rich and nickel-rich There is more pressure acting on the inner core The inner core is hotter

What is hotter inner mantle or outer mantle?

Oh, dude, the inner mantle is definitely hotter than the outer mantle. Like, we're talking about temperatures reaching up to 4000°C in the inner mantle compared to a measly 500-900°C in the outer mantle. So, if you're looking for a hot spot, the inner mantle is where it's at.

How can the inner core be hotter than the outer core but be in solid form while the outer core is in liquid form?

the outer core is not under enough pressure to be solid, but the inner core has so much weight being pressed against is from the mantle, crust, outer core, and gravity that it stays as solid nickel and can not move

Is the outer core a liquid and the inner core a solid?

Yes, although the inner core is hotter than the outer core, there is more pressure. This pressure is enough to keep the inner core solid.

How are the inner and outer layers of earth different?

The inner layer of Earth is composed of solid materials like the inner core and the outer core, while the outer layer, known as the crust, is composed of solid and rocky materials. The inner layers are much hotter and under high pressure compared to the outer layers. Additionally, the outer layer is where we find the Earth's surface features like mountains, oceans, and continents.

Why is the inner the outer core liquid?

The inner core of the Earth is solid due to high pressure preventing melting, while the outer core is liquid because it is under less pressure. The outer core is also hotter, allowing it to remain in a liquid state.

How does the outer mantle differ from the inner mantle?

The outer mantle is part of the Earth's mantle that is closer to the surface, while the inner mantle is deeper within the Earth. The outer mantle is composed of solid rock that can flow slowly over geologic time, while the inner mantle is under higher pressure and temperature, making it more solid and rigid.

What layer of Earth has a liquid and solid layer?

False. Earth's core has solid and liquid parts.

Are the inner and outer core of earth the same?

No. The inner and outer core are both composed primarily of iron and nickel, but the outer core is liquid and surrounds the inner core. The inner core is the innermost layer of Earth and is kept solid by the enormous pressure.

Is the core liquid or solid?

There are two parts of the core: Inner and Outer. The outer core is liquid, the inner solid. The inner core is solid due to the pressure exerted on it, despite the excessively high temperature.

What are the two parts of the inner core?

the solid inner core and the liquid outer core

What is the two difference between the inner core and the outer core of earth?

The inner core of the Earth is solid due to intense pressure, while the outer core is liquid because it is at a slightly lower pressure. Additionally, the inner core is composed mainly of solid iron and nickel, whereas the outer core is a mix of liquid iron and nickel.
