The left side of the heart is much bigger and stronger because it must pump blood through out to the entire body. The right side of the heart must only pump blood through the lungs (and then to the left side). So, since the blood is pumped in through and out of the left side with more pressure, the myocardium must be thicker.

Why is the ltventricle bigger than the rt ventricle?

Thewall of the left ventricle is thicker than the wall of the right ventricle. This is because the left ventricle has to produce a larger force than the right ventricle. Blood from the right ventricle only has to go to the lungs, which are close to the heart. However blood from the left ventricle has to go all round the rest of the body, a much greater distance and so it meets more resistance from the blood vessels. For this reason the left ventricle has to generate a greater force to overcome the greater resistance, so it has more muscle, making its wall thicker. The volume of blood pumped out by each ventricle has to be the same.

The fact that the left ventricular wall is thicker than the right reveals that it?

The left ventricle pumps oxygenated blood round the body, whereas the right ventricle only needs to pump blood to the lungs. Therefore, the left ventricle needs to be more powerful and strong compared to the right, and this is why the ventricle walls differ in this way.

Why does the left ventricle have more muscle?

The left ventricle is thicker and more muscular than the right ventricle because it pumps blood at a higher pressure. By teenage and adult ages, its walls have thickened to three to six times greater than that of the right ventricle. This reflects the typical five times greater pressure workload this chamber performs while accepting blood returning from the lungs veins at ~80mmHg pressure and pushing it forward to the typical ~120mmHg pressure in the aorta during each heartbeat. (The pressures stated are resting values and stated as relative to surrounding atmospheric which is the typical "0" reference pressure used in medicine.) In short, it has to pump blood to the rest of the body, instead of just the lungs as the right ventricle.

Which encounters the greater force of air resistance a falling elephant or a falling feather?

A falling elephant encounters a greater force of air resistance than a falling feather does. The force of air resistance can't be greater than the weight of the falling object. When the force of air resistance is equal to the weight of the falling object, the object stops accelerating, its falling speed becomes constant, and the force of air resistance doesn't get any bigger. So the force of air resistance against a falling feather can't be greater than the weight of the feather. But the force of air resistance against a falling elephant can be, and undoubtedly is, greater than the weight of a feather.

Does a car or a piece of paper have greater air resistance?

A car because it has a greater surface area.

Why does a tennis ball go farther and higher than a soccer ball with the same mass?

That is because of air resistance. Since the soccer ball has a greater surface area (and holds the same shape as the tennis ball), it will see greater air resistance against that surface, thus slowing it and stopping it quicker.

What is the wall of the left ventricle thicker the the wall of the right ventricle?

The thicker walls of the left ventricle allow for greater pumping force. This increased force is needed because blood in the systemic circuit must travel much farther than that in the pulmonary circuit.

Is the resistance in the start winding greater or less than the resistance in the run winding?

The resistance in the start winding is greater because it is longer and thinner and has the greatest resistance to current flow

Why is it difficult to ride a bicycle against the direction of wind?

AnswerWhen there is wind, there is a greater force from air resistance on you and your bike.

Which human heart ventricle is larger in size?

The left ventricle is larger than the right ventricle. This size difference reflects the fact that blood flowing from the left ventricle must travel a greater distance.

Is the left side of the heart bigger?

The left side of the heart is bigger because it has to pump harder to get the oxygenated blood all the way around your body. The right side merely receives de-oxygenated (venous) blood.

Do black people have greater resistance to ultraviolet rays?

Yes because their skin has a lot of pigments(melanin).
