A light microscope not powerful enough to view other organelles in the cheek cell since it only relies on light. The electron and scanning probe microscopes would be ideal as they use electrons and electromagnetic fields respectively.

What do cheek cells look like?

They look like animal cells which kind of look like small tiny blobs if you see them under a microscope with a very low objective. And of course if you see the cheek cells under a high objective, you will see the blobs but it will be in a close up. But it also depends on the cheek cells....

Why is methylene blue necessary to view your check cells?

This is because the cheek cell is transparent. Since the membrane of the cheek cell is selectively permeable, it allows the methylene blue to enter the cell , therefore makes it blue in color from the inside. Then we are able to see the cheek cell properly under a microscope... please note. : we are supposed to add a bit of water and gliserene too . WATER : to transfer the cheek cells on to the slide AND GLISERENE: to prevent the cheek cells from drying up.

Are human cheek cells circular?

Human cheek cell are kind of circular in shape but not really, they are actually of irregular shape as most of the animal cells are irregular in shape. Fact : you can take out your cheek cells by simply rubbing you nails on your cheeks and put whatever the stuff is jammed in your nail on a slide and view it through a microscope. now shut up and do your homework!!!!
