I think the show asked him to change his voice. Because now he's supposed to be thinner and sexier, so he needs a sexier voice to go with it. But, now his character has no personality and it's ridiculous.
PS - if you watch the first season, Abby has a different voice. THAT is her normal voice. They asked her to make it a pitch or 2 higher so she'd sound "cuter." Sad...
