diana trees is so amazing that the moon doesn't want to decrease it's orbit.

Is the moon's orbit the same as the earths orbit around the sun?

not quite. The moon circles the Earth, which circles the sun. So the moon's orbit around the sun isn't a smooth track, but consist of a wave like pattern.

How does the moon take to orbit the sun?

The moon does not orbit the sun independently; it orbits the earth. So the moon orbits the sun in about 365 and a quarter days, just like earth.

Could The Moon Pull The Earth Out Of Orbit?

The Moon definitely has an effect on the Earth's orbit. It can't "pull the Earth out of orbit" because if it could do so, it would have done so billions of years ago and you wouldn't be here to wonder about it.

Does the moon orbit Earth or does the Earth orbit the moon?

The moon orbits Earth.

Why is the mass of the rocket payload so important when launching a rocket to the moon?

The greater the mass of the payload, the more fuel (and more money) it requires to get it into orbit.

What is the aphelion of the moon?

The Moon's aphelion is the point in its orbit where it is farthest away from the Earth. This distance is about 252,088 miles (405,696 kilometers) from the Earth. The Moon's orbit is not a perfect circle, so its distance from Earth varies as it revolves around us.

What is it called when a moon's orbit is backwards?

When a moon's orbit is backwards, it is referred to as a retrograde orbit.

Why does the visible surface of the moon always look the same?

The Moon's face does change - but not much. The Moon's rotation is generally aligned with its orbit, so that the same face is always turned to the Earth. But the Moon's ORBIT is somewhat eliptical, so the speed of the Moon in its orbit varies a little. So instead of seeing just 50% of the surface of the Moon, we can actually see about 60%, and the "face" in the Moon turns just a little side to side as the Moon follows its decidedly NON-circular path.

How long does it take for the moon to arbit the earth?

The moon takes 29 days or so to orbit our planet.

Is the path of the Moon's orbit around the Earth straight?

It is an ellipse, so no.
