because its long and hard to pronounce
With respect, there was no "Auschwitz war", so what do you really mean?
The site of my destroyed house after the tornado was horrifying.
* While i was walking to the park i saw a horrifying scene. * It was horrifying. After the car crashed and rolled down the cliff, the bodies in the car presented a horrifying picture
The camp was called Auschwitz but Bruno couldn't pronounce it so he called it Out-With.
Key sections of Auschwitz have been a museum since 1947, so it is a non-issue.
Well it is possible that hana escaped the gas chamber. changed her name so the Nazi's wouldn't recenize her. But that is probably not true so she really died in the gas chamber.
About 190,000 People died at Auschwitz I during the Holocaust.
Well 6 Million People were sent to Auschwitz (Only 1/6 were actually killed So, Auschwitz was Operating from May 1940- January 1945 but most of the deportations happened between October 20th 1941- January 27th 1945, total of 1184 Days. 6,000,000/1,184= 5,068. So 5,068 people were sent to Auschwitz daily in Average. ___________________ 6 Million people were not sent to Auschwitz. creating averages over such a long and changing period does nothing to illuminate matters.
The Auschwitz Museum has provided the following estimates, which have remained unchanged since 1989.Number of people sent to Auschwitz (or to be more precise, the Auschwitz complex of camps): approximately 1.3 million.Number of inmates who left the Auschwitz complex alive: Just under 190,000. (Many were transferred to other camps and perished there or died on death marches: 'left Auschwitz alive' does not mean 'survived the holocaust'). Killed in the Auschwitz complex of camps: 1.1 million, of whom about 85% were Jews. The estimates are deliberately cautious and based on documentary evidence together with estimates for numbers arriving by the transports recorded. In the last 20 years or so, most of the scholarly debate has been in the range 1.1-1.5 million. It is hard to say how many Jews there were, because there were also a wide range of other minorities, but I would guess around 900,000 jews.About 1.3 million people were taken to Auschwitz.
Gas Chambers was first used in Auschwitz on September 3rd 1941, So between September 1941 and December 1944 (equal to 1,214 Days), In total about 1 Million People were Gassed in Auschwitz, 1 Million / 1,214= 825 people on average were gassed daily.
Otto Frank died in 1980, so he lived for about 25 years after being liberated from Auschwitz.
Well their was never an exact same number of people dying at Auschwitz daily. There were days when no one was killed, Auschwitz was in existance for over a year before mass killings started, and there were days where 30 000 died.
