Phantom is a very old story. It first was written in 1910 by Gaston Leroux which was a novel. The first movie was with Lon Chaney 1925 which Leroux was able to see it before he died in 1927. Andrew Lloyd Webber's Phantom of the Opera was written for stage 1986 his music that is heard today. Comparing it to Twilight is like trying to compare Red Riding Hood to Shakespeare. Phantom deals with undying love and obsession and how man responds to not being able to get what he wants. The obsession turns him into a monster ( that is how he views himself more than what he really is in life). Twilight is just a new take on an old tale of vampires. There is a bit of obsession to it, but it is on a level of teen first love with a bit of special effects. They can not be compared.
Other than both being fantasies, not much Phantom takes place in Paris opera house, whereas Alice has an English setting.
Minnie Driver only sings the closing Learn to be Lonely of Andrew Lloyd Webber's Phantom of the Opera. She played Carlotta. Her voice is dubbed by a real opera singer who is singing terrible on purpose, this is harder than it seems for anyone who is not vocally professionally trained.

we can't compare the Opera and Google, it depends on what feature you want. if you compare in user friendly property then Google is better than opera. But when you talking about features and look & view then Opera is better.
That depends on personal opinion. If you think Twilight is better than New Moon, or if you think New Moon is better than Twilight, that is your own opinion.
