Why is the sea dead?

If you mean the dead sea, it is called that because no animal can live in there,aka fish. Its because of all the seaweed and salty environment. The salt also alows people to float easily in there they can float even if they are sitting on a chair. Its because of all the salt and it makes them look like they are floating and dead.
